Liverpool’s beloved Plaza Community Cinema invites you to rewind the clock and relive the magic of the 1980s with a dazzling 40th anniversary screening of Desperately Seeking Susan— newly restored in glorious 4K and approved by director Susan Seidelman.

This one-night-only event, part of the ongoing “Plaza 80s/90s Presents” series, marks a rare opportunity to see Madonna’s breakout film on the big screen—fully remastered, fizzing with energy, and more iconic than ever.

Kicking off the evening, DJ Nick Gartland will warm up the crowd with a Madonna Classics Set, spinning the very best of the Queen of Pop before the main feature begins.

Audiences are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the era with ‘80s fashion flair, prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed Madonna(s) in the room.
