Plaza 90s Presents: Trainspotting (18)
“Choose life. Choose the Plaza!”
To celebrate four years of our retro film series, Plaza 90s brings Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting back to the big screen — raw, iconic, and unapologetically Scottish.
Trainspotting (1996) is a cult British black comedy drama directed by Danny Boyle, based on Irvine Welsh’s novel. Starring Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, and Kelly Macdonald, it follows a group of heroin addicts navigating addiction, friendship, and the chaos of youth in Edinburgh. With razor-sharp editing, a legendary soundtrack, and unforgettable performances, it remains one of the most influential British films of the ’90s.
Warm-up set by Nick Gartland DJ - spinning a classic 90s mix to set the mood before the film.
